Welcome to Kingfisher CE Academy
It is my great pleasure to welcome you to Kingfisher Church of England Academy, at the heart of the Wichelstowe community. Since opening in September 2021, our school has grown into a nurturing and vibrant place where children are encouraged to flourish academically, socially and spiritually.
As a Church of England school, our Christian vision and values underpin all that we do. We are committed to creating a caring and inclusive environment where every child is known, valued and celebrated, and where curiosity, kindness and hope are central to daily life. Our rich and carefully designed spiral curriculum inspires a love of learning, encourages exploration and supports children to become confident, lifelong learners.
Our state-of-the-art school building provides an exceptional learning environment, offering exciting opportunities for all children and serving as a hub for our families and wider community. Kingfisher CE Academy is a place of connection, belonging and growth, where we learn together and support one another as our community continues to develop.
I feel privileged to lead this school and to share this journey with our children and families. Together, we nurture aspiration, compassion and understanding, so that every member of our community can truly flourish.

Welcome from the CEO
Bridlewood is a proud member of The Park Academies Trust, a family of schools dedicated to providing exceptional education and personal development for every child in our community. Bridlewood is a nurturing environment where children flourish, reflecting our shared mission to help each child achieve their best and build confidence as they grow.
We are committed to fostering personal goals and instilling a sense of hope for the future, encouraging children to dream big and reach for their aspirations. This starts from the moment they step into school for the very first time, and runs through as they journey onto Year 13 and life beyond. Through innovative opportunities both within the school and across the Trust, we draw on a wealth of expertise to enrich the learning experience and demonstrate the benefits of collaboration among like-minded schools.
Our Trust's culture is built on the values of Ambition, Courage, Respect, and Integrity. Together, we are more than just schools—we are a connected community dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of the children we serve.

‘A tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season’ (Psalm 1:3)
Wisdom – Hope – Service - Resilience
The metaphor of a tree planted by streams of water to describe a person who is spiritually nourished and grounded in God's teachings. Just as a tree near water has a constant supply of nutrients, a person who delights in and meditates on God's word is spiritually healthy and productive.
At Kingfisher we believe that through our work, providing children with an excellent education, they will be encouraged to yield the fruits of Wisdom, Hope, Service and Resilience.
A child with Wisdom
We encourage our children to be discerning, teachable and eager to learn. Children who are humble, patient and recognise the importance of learning from others. Their actions grounded in spiritual wisdom help lead to fulfilment.
A child with Hope
We encourage our children to have a positive outlook, to be optimistic and aspirant. Children who are eager to learn and explore new ideas.
A child committed to Service
We encourage our children to be compassionate, empathetic, generous and willing to share. Children who are committed to the school’s values and rules where they serve the school community with humility and kindness.
A child with resilience
We encourage our children to be adaptable, emotionally regulated enabling them to adjust to new situations. Children become perseverant, seek solutions and solve problems, equipping themselves with the knowledge and skills to be successful.

Kingfisher CE Academy is proud to be part of The Park Academies Trust.
